Sharp-eyed CAR Online reader Damien Morgan sent in some great photos of the day that Top Gear ended up in Belfast – to re-enact one of the most celebrated scenes from The Italian Job.
Clarkson and co went to Northern Ireland where they were allowed to film in the Belfast sewerage system. In a homage to the Minis hurtling around Turin’s waterworks, the Top Gear team swapped Minis for Renault Twingos.
When can I see the Italian Job on Top Gear?
The new series is underway on BBC2 on Sunday nights and the Twingo-in-sewers scene is due to be aired on Sunday 6 December.
Damien was quick-witted enough to bag a few shots of the Twingo underground, as well as a picture of a be-denimed Clarkson himself in a production meeting.
Must have been quite a draining experience. (Sorry – Ed!)
