CAR reader Henrique Cunha spotted this refreshed Jaguar XF on test in the wintry climes of Sweden.
This pair of spy photos confirms the stylistic changes afoot for Jag’s exec: it’ll be the usual front and rear end facelift grafted on to the existing bodyshell to keep the XF honest until the next generation model arrives in 2015.
Jaguar XF facelift: winter testing
Henrique confirmed where he scooped the facelifted Jag. ‘I caught this restyled Jaguar XF in Kiruna, Sweden,’ he tells us.
That’s near a test facility used by Gaydon to put new Jaguar and Land Rover product through their paces in harsh Arctic conditions.
At the time of writing, it’s -18C there. Tough enough to test your anti-freeze and heating controls then.
When will the facelifted Jag XF appear?
We understand the new 2012 model year XF will be shown later in 2011. The saloon pictured here will be joined by an XF estate in 2012.
The new German bosses running the company for Tata are making sure they expand the range into plenty of new areas; previously Jag operated at the premium end, but Carl-Peter Forster wants to accelerate plans for a 2.2 turbodiesel and new bodystyles.
