Volvo EX30 goes Cross Country: electric crossover gets a new look

Volvo is making a Cross Country version of the EX30, and we’ve got pictures of it without camouflage. Our spy photographers snapped the XC variant of the brand’s popular electric crossover in northern Sweden, and it’s virtually undisguised.

These pictures show a more robust-looking version of Volvo’s EX30, with a chunkier looking body kit, more black bumpers and a roof rack. Hardly a surprise; Volvo kicked off the off-road aesthetic with the Volvo V70 XC back in 1997, this is just an electric spin on the old formula.

CAR understands the changes are almost entirely superficial – this is just an EX30 in a North Face jacket.

Like the EX30, we expect the EX30 XC to compete with the rivals such as the Smart #1, Jeep Avenger and Hyundai Kona when it’s revealed later this year.
