► New Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo snapped testing
► Revised front and rear lights
► Same motors, slightly more power and range
Porsche engineers are putting the finishing touches to a new Taycan facelift, and we’ve caught it testing again – this time in Sport Turismo spec. We’ve previously seen the new facelift in high-performance, Turbo GT guise but these new pictures, taken by our dedicated spy photographers, reveal the Taycan in a slightly more practical spec.
What’s new?
As seen in other images, the new front end isn’t a revolution – this is a Stuttgart facelift, after all – but it does feature a few small tweaks that combine to form a moderate change over the launch car.
Take a closer look at the headlights and you’ll find the bulbous, pill-shaped headlights of the Mission E concept gone, replaced now by flush, pointier units. More refined looking, and almost certainly less wasteful when cutting through the air, they now look more like the light units already seen on the forthcoming Macan EV. It’s all subjective of course, but it does feel as though some of the Taycan’s character has been taken away.
The rear looks to have been tightened up too, though the changes are less substantial.
Anything else?
CAR understands that the facelift will continue with the same electric motors as the previous car, although range and power maybe slightly better due to advances in battery tech.
