Porsche GT2 RS? Surely a typo!
Not at all. This is the hardest 911 GT2 yet, a widowmaker and marriagebreaker all rolled into one by the sounds of the spec. It undergoes the full 911 diet regime, including fabric door handles, titanium exhaust and ceramic brake discs – said to trim nearly 100kg from the kerbweight. Less is more, judging by the price expected to top £150,000, although passengers, children and your bank manager may strongly disagree.
The 2010 GT2 RS will be rear-drive and you can hear its uprated 592bhp 3.8-litre flat six being gently extended in our scoop video clips here. While we understand the multi-storey rear spoiler and more air intakes than a hotel air-conditioner, we’re not quite clear what’s wrong with the flashing rear LED brake lights. Perhaps indicating they’ve cooked the brakes during a hot lap or two – it’s already been timed at under 7min 30sec around the Ring…
