Mercedes is nearing completion of its next-gen W212 E-class and CAR’s spies have caught the range-topping E63 AMG version testing on and around the Nurburgring. On sound alone this 6.2-litre V8 should sell.
The new E-class will feature wheelarches pinched from its S-class big brother, and on this hot E63 version they’re filled with big five-spoke AMG alloys. Add in a new chassis, quad exhausts and the full AMG bodykit and this Merc should have enough to take on the next-gen BMW M5.
