You’re looking at the stil-under-wraps 2015 Audi TT Roadster, the soft-top replacement for today’s TT convertible.
There are few shocks visible in our spy photos. The Audi TT coupe transforms effortlessly into a cabriolet with the help of a canvas soft-top; all models will have electric operation to go topless at the press of a button.
Note the heavily stylised rollover hoops built behind the seats. While some car makers prefer pop-up pyrotechnics to keep passengers safe in a smash, Audi’s stuck with the aluminium-look fixed bars nestling behind each front seat.
We’re expecting the new TT Roadster to be UK showrooms by summer 2015.
Audi TT Roadster: the 2015 range
Audi rarely shies away from plugging a niche and word is that the Roadster will be available in all the same bodystyles as the TT Coupe.
That means you can expect launch engines to include the following:
Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TFSI 227bhp, 137g/km CO2
Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TDI 182bhp, 110g/km CO2
Audi TTS Roadster 306bhp, 39.8mpg

Audi TT Roadster pricing
It’s too early for UK pricing, but today’s TT Roadster carries a £2015 premium over the tin-top.
That points to a starter price of around £31,875 for the new 2015 Audi TT Roadster in 2.0 TFSI Sport trim.
If that sounds a bit steep, fret not; a range of smaller engines and more lowly trims will follow, eventually.
