Not convinced that Audi’s forthcoming four-wheel drive Audi RS5 will be as much fun or a fast as BMW’s M3? Then watch our video below to see this twin-turbo 4.2-litre coupe being blasted around the Nurburgring in a fashion that we can all approve of.
Remind me of the Audi RS5’s spec
That twin-turbo V8 produces 450bhp, 332lb ft and revs to 8000rpm. Via a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox the engine sends its power to all four wheel, though the Quattro system is rear-biased. It’s enough for 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds.
Other changes include wider front and rear tracks, the addition of Audi’s active rear differential, plus 20-inch wheels that nestle within new squared-off wheelarches. The RS5 should cost around £55,000 and will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show this September.
