► New Aston Martin spied
► Will house the all-new V12
► Model name TBC
Aston Martin recently revealed information about an all-new V12 engine which you can read here – but where’s it going? Our intrepid spy photographers may have an answer in the shape of this slick prototype you see in the following pictures.
Whether the coupe you see here will join the mid-engined Vanquish reboot as a separate, new DBS flagship or replace it remains to be unseen – but the prototype you see here will house Gaydon’s latest V12.
Gaydon’s engineers have done a decent job of obscuring the car’s more delicate details, but it’s still possible to make out the broad design strokes: the headlights look similar to what we’ve already seen on the most recent DB12 and Vantage models, whilst you can also peek at a hood dotted with air vent. That makes sense, given extreme specs of the V12 that’ll live just underneath.
Aston’s engineers have shoved a huge diffuser under the rear, and it’s flanked by dual exhaust pipes which CAR understands play the exact soundtrack you’d hope for. There’s not much to see elsewhere at the back of the car, though a few holes shed some light on a fresh-looking rear light configuration.
Well update this page when we know more…
