Get your whole family race ready with these F1 LEGO models

Updated: 14 March 2025

If there’s one toy capable of bringing a family together in unison, it’s LEGO. Fresh from the biggest tyre manufacturer in the world, LEGO has a partnership with Formula 1© that’s sure to cater to every family member over the age of two.

From Duplo models that’ll entertain children from the ages of six upwards through to the ever-popular Speed Champions sets ripe for racing across the living room floor, children will have hours of entertainment, building and playing with detailed models that can be built, crashed, and then rebuilt to your heart’s content.

Whether you go into Formula 1 watching an iconic rivalry action unfold on TV, a toy car or dominating the field in a sim racer, these LEGO models will surely be the gateway for the next generation of Formula 1 fanatics.

While the kids play with the miniature models, why not distract yourself with larger, more intricate recreations of iconic race cars? There’s too much to mention here, but here are some racing highlights.

LEGO Mercedes-AMG F1 W15 Race Car

LEGO Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG F1 car, model

RRP £22.99 | VIEW OFFER

The Speed Champions series needs little introduction. With icons such as the Ferrari 512M and Audi Sport Quattro already boiled down to minifigure size, the entire 2024 F1 grid is now available.

Offering a shocking amount of detail and sleekness for the size, price and natural limitations of block construction, the £22.99 price is even more astonishing. These sets are suitable for children aged 10 and up, and this Mercedes-AMG clocks in at 267 pieces.

LEGO Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car

This is the real deal – all £200 and 1639 pieces. Packed with enough features to put an older F1 car to shame, this 1:8th scale model will take a while to build but will be your pride and joy once completed.

It’s suitably high-tech, with push- and pull-rod suspension, a two-speed gearbox, a modelled V6 with moving pistons and an adjustable spoiler ready for that all-important DRS zone. Not a fan of Red Bull? You can also get this in Ferrari flavour.

Duplo F1 Team Race Cars & Drivers

Want to get them interested in F1 early? How about an entire fleet of race cars ready to race? This Duplo set is suitable for ages two and up and ships with bodies for all 10 F1 teams, a pit crane, a podium with a trophy and a start/finish line.

It’s educational, too; your toddler can learn to march the driver with the appropriate car based on colour. However, we’re not sure about the aerodynamic properties of those helmets.

LEGO Icons Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell

Who’d have thought everyone’s favourite moustached Brummie would be immortalised as a LEGO minifigure? This scale model is the perfect centrepiece for any fan of F1 history, complete with display stands for the car and Nigel.

The FW14B won the 1992 F1 World Title in the hands of Mansell, cementing it as an icon of the sport. This model, made from 799 pieces and sporting a modelled V10 engine and working steering, is a stand-out piece of design.

LEGO City F1 Williams Racing & Haas F1 Race Cars

LEGO twin set, Haas and Williams models

RRP £17.99 | VIEW OFFER

Why settle for one F1 car when you could have two? This twin set of LEGO F1 cars includes Haas and Williams Racing cars, which makes it the ideal set for staging those nail-biting wheel-to-wheel races.

This set is the perfect entry point for a LEGO fan as it’s suitable for ages four and up. With 92 pieces included it shouldn’t be too difficult to build either, and very rewarding once complete.
