Earlier this week we saw a three-motored Tesla drifting around in the snow, but now there’s footage of a rather rarer, modern classic doing the same thing. BMW’s M division has released a video celebrating Christmas – as well as the launch of its new website – but rather than the usual marketing fluff, it features an incredibly rare BMW E30 M3 pickup.
An M3… pickup? What
The plot to the video is pretty simple. Someone picks up a Christmas tree, but has so much fun drifting their prototype M3 pickup that all the tree’s leaves fall off. The over-enthusiastic driver arrives home, and although his family seems distraught when they see the ruined tree, he doesn’t really seem that bothered. It’s a tragedy, really.
Strange plot aside, it’s a chance to see one of BMW’s stranger cars in action. The E30 M3 has got to be one of the most iconic cars to ever display the M badge – and its pickup alter-ego must be one of the weirdest.
