Here’s another Land Rover publicity stunt with a Christmas twist: a festive log cabin which will flat-pack away into the boot of a Discovery Sport.

A slightly pointless exercise then (you can’t buy this wilderness hut), but a fun way of demonstrating the 1698-litre boot with the rear seats folded.

What? A Christmas cabin by Land Rover?

Yep. Don’t expect to find this in the options list any time soon. Nor will it be seen in Aisle 7 at Ikea. This is a one-off…

The packaging team in Gaydon hooked up with Danish architects LUMO to build this 3.5sq m cabin that’d fit in the Disco Sport‘s boot.

Naturally, there are some Land Rover cues peppered around the winter hideaway: note the full-length panoramic sunroof and the flop-down Disco-style seat decking on the hut.
