It’s that time of the year again. Amazon Prime Day 2024 is upon us, and just like last time, it’s full of mega deals on everything from electric toothbrushes (are they ever full price?) to the latest smart tech from brands such as Amazon and Apple.
There are some great deals on automotive bits and pieces too; some you might need right now, and some worth picking up just in case. With that in mind, we’ve sifted through all of the Amazon Prime Day deals, and picked the ones we think will appeal most to petrolheads.
Prime Day takes place between 8th-9th October 2024, and on this page, you’ll find a list of great products with some tasty discounts. To be able to access the deals however, you need to be a Prime member. And if you’re not one, you can sign up to a 30-day free trail.
CAR’s best early Amazon Prime Day 2024 deals
1. Vax SpotWash Spot Cleaner (42% off)
This Vax SpotWash cleaner is an ideal companion when it comes to lifting up tough and embedded dirt stains from your car’s carpets. It comes with a 1.5m hose, which makes it quite versatile when moving around the cabin of your vehicle.
The kit also includes a bottle of 250ml cleaning solution which you dilute with water before starting. It also comes with a hard floor scrub attachment, which can tackle things in your home as well as your vehicle.
2. KYG Car Boot Protector for Dogs (20%)
Every dog owner will know the process of trying and failing to protect the car boot – but this dog matt could make things a bit different. It’s being offered at 20% off, and folds out to cover the boot as well as the edge of the boot opening. It’s a non-slip mat that’s both quilted and waterproof, meaning it can deal with a rather messy pooch after a walk.

3. Viofo A229 Plus 2K Dual Dash Cam (20% off)
If you’re anything like us, you’re probably quite aware of other drivers on the road. And should the worst happen, it’s always good to have a dash cam – especially a dual setup – along for the ride to provide proof to either the police or insurers.
The Viofo A229 Plus is a fabulous companion to have along the way. Not only is it offered at 20% off in the Prime Day sale, but it comes with a plethora of kit from Wi-Fi built-in, GPS, 2K recording resolution, and even 512GB of storage. It’s as comprehensive as you can get at this price point.
4. Allen Sports Deluxe 3 Tailgate Bike Carrier (25% off)
Planning your next holiday is a lot of admin, and that means you could probably do with a bike rack if you haven’t got one already. Discounted by 25% due to Prime Day, this one comes with one of the biggest savings we’ve seen so far – and a range of decent features.
Suitable for most cars (check the link for details) it’s quick and easy to install, weighs just four kilograms and has space for three bicycles. It’s also got a padded lower frame to protect your bikes’ and car’s bodywork.
5. Bose QuietComfort SC Noise-Cancelling Wireless Headphones (47% off)
Covering the car industry often involves a good amount of flying, and that means CAR journalists are well placed when it comes to travelling hacks; these Bose QuietComfort SC wireless headphones are up there as one of the most powerful hacks around. With 24-hours of battery life, they’re one of the most advanced sets around. The best news? Today they’ve been reduced by nearly 50% to £170.
The QuietComfort SC headphones offer great bass, mid-range punch and sparking highs – but their noise cancelling capabilities have to be heard to be believed. Simply put, this set is life-saver on flights as they do a great job of cutting out most of the usual din. They work well on the ground too, though; we find ourselves reaching for them at the gym, the train and often the office too…

6. Logitech G G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel (51% off)
This Logitech might not have the same level of realism or detail as the ridiculous £2300 Sim-Lab Mercedes F1 wheel we reported on earlier today, but it’s a great place to start for any budding sim-racer.
This wheel and pedal set is popular among sim-racers and rightly so; even at full price it offers precise controls with an strong level of force-feedback for added realism.
At full price it’s impressive, but with 51% off thanks to Prime Day, it’s an absolute steal.
7. Karcher K 2 Power Control Pressure washer (29% off)
The K 2 is one of the most popular pressure washers around, and it’s easy to see why. It’s not too big, but packs in 110 bars of pressure for a quick and efficient clean – whether it’s for the garden or a car or motorbike.
It’s versatile too, the model here comes with a high-pressure gun, Vario Power spray lance and dirt blaster. Karcher’s quick connect system means they’re easy to swap over too. Size is another advantage it has over the competition, partly down to its telescopic handle and tiny footprint.
8. Ironstripe Faraday Box & Pouch Set (31% off)
A Faraday box might not be the most exciting gadget in this list, but it could be one that saves you the most money in the long run. Simply put, alongside a traditional crook lock, a Faraday cage is one of the easiest ways to help prevent car theft.

9. Worx WX092 Cordless Tyre Inflator (17% off)
A cordless tyre inflator is an almost invaluable item to have when it comes to monitoring your tyre pressures. Ultimately, it’s for vehicle safety, so it’s good to keep in the back of your vehicle. And the 20% discount makes it all the more tempting.
One of the best units out there is the Worx WX092. It comes with a 2.0Ah battery, but more powerful units (like the brand’s 4.0Ah one) can be attached as well. It can inflate up to 150PSI and deals with slightly low tyre pressures within seconds. You can also choose your measurement units, and there’s a torch built-in, should you get into a spot of bother at night.
10. NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000A Jump Starter (31% off)
This is an opportunity to save 31% on NOCO’s capable and quite versatile jump starter. Not only can it jump-start vehicles with engines up to 4.0 litre in petrol and 3.0 litre in diesel form, but it also doubles as a portable power bank with two USB slots on hand.
There’s also a torch, which will be incredibly handy if you get caught in a jump-starting situation in low-light conditions.
11. Lego Technic Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut (26% off)
If you’re looking for an early Christmas gift for a younger member of the family, the Lego Technic Koenigsegg Jesko is a great place to start. You can steer it as well as observe the engine layout and rear differential.
The doors even open similarly to the real thing, which can spur up a heap of imagination to a young petrolhead. What’s more, it’s offered at 26% off, so it represents good value for money as well.
12. NOCO Genius5 UK Battery Trickle Charger (30%)
Offered at 30% off, the NOCO Genius5 is a perfect entry-level battery trickle charger for your vehicle, should you intend to park it up for a bit of time over the winter.
It’s designed to look after 6 and 12V batteries for a multitude of vehicles, from cars to motorcycles and even boats. There’s a thermal sensor which can optimise the unit for charging in cold and hot conditions, and it’ll charge up a battery that’s as low as a single volt.
13. Meguiar’s Gold Class Carnauba Paste Wax (26% off)
At 26% off, the Meguiar’s Gold Class Carnauba paste wax suddenly became very good value. You get 311g of wax and it’s ideal for use on both single stage paint as well as more modern types.
A soft foam applicator is included and all it requires you to do is apply, wait up to 15-minutes for the wax to cure before buffing with a microfibre towel. For the coming winter months, waxing your car is a nice way of protecting the paint from the harsher elements.
