Bentley has launched a new Apple Watch app that lets passengers control many of the minor functions in the Bentayga SUV from their wrist.
What, an app for those too lazy to lean forward and touch buttons?
Essentially, yes. But tech-heads will love the geeky potential of being able to run some of the crossover’s gadgets from their on-trend Apple Watch.
The new Bentley app lets you:
- Change the in-car temperature
- Set the massage seats to pamper
- Move the front seat (lots of joke potential here for errant back-seat kids!)
- Control the Hi-Fi
- Monitor the on-board computer stats (average speed, outside temperature)
Passengers only have to sync their watch with the Bentayga’s Touch Screen Remote system, and they then have access to the Bentley’s onboard systems.

Why Bentley’s launching its own watch app
Dan Whittaker, director of electrical and electronics at Bentley, said: ‘The Bentayga is technologically advanced and combines this with luxury in a way only Bentley can achieve. This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience.’
Just goes to show how far Crewe has evolved. Modern luxury now means keeping its customers ‘appy – as well as surrounded by gentleman’s-club-spec leather and wood…
