Regarded by many as the most important endurance event in the racing calendar, the 24 Heures du Mans is an occasion steeped in tradition and history. Since 1923 cars and teams have lined up to compete against each other, themselves and – of course – the clock. They lap the famous French circuit over the space of 24 hours, with the winning team the one whose car has covered the longest distance. The race is a showcase of some of the latest and most advanced automotive technology, with prototype-class cars featuring biofuels, advanced aerodynamics and the very latest in engine and chassis design.
CAR has a team of reporters who’ll be reporting live from Le Mans in 2010. Stay tuned all weekend for a rollercoaster ride!
