The 2008 Goodwood Festival of Speed is rammed with interesting cars – old and new. There are more than 350 vehicles entered at this year’s festival and we’ve picked the highlights to help guide you to the most interesting metal. Racing cars
This year’s Festival of Speed will play host to racing cars from every era – from early Edwardian racing pioneers through to Lewis Hamilton’s latest McLaren F1 car. Plus there will be an array of cars fresh from the Le Mans 24-hour race, CanAm cars and a variety of motorbikes to boot. Also expect a tribute to the late Colin McRae on the improved Goodwood Forest Rally Stage.
Supercars
A rorty fleet of nearly 50 contemporary supercars is due to pile up the hill in the daily Sunday Times Supercar Run. Highlights include the new Nissan GT-R, the Bugatti Veyron, Zagato’s Bentley Continental GTZ (complete with double bubble) and the Mazda Furai concept car. Key supercars to look out for include:
