FHM and Zoo readers: how to transfer your subscription to CAR magazine

Updated: 18 December 2015

A welcome to FHM and Zoo readers
How to transfer your subscription to CAR
 Detailed step-by-step guide

Dear Reader,

Sadly FHM and Zoo are ceasing publication.

If you’re a subscriber, the FHM available for download on 7th January 2016 will be the last one you will receive as a subscription copy and for Zoo it is the issue available on the 22 December 2015.

What happens after this depends on where you purchased your subscription.

Please see below for a full guide and recommendation on what to do next, and who to speak to if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your understanding,

Jim Foster

1) Great Magazines Customers: Proposed Swap To CAR Magazine

If you bought your FHM or Zoo digital subscription via Great Magazines, you‘ll get one issue of CAR magazine for each FHM issue you were previously entitled to and one issue of CAR for every four issues of Zoo you were entitled to. A letter has been sent that outlines how many issues you are entitled to and what happens to existing Direct Debit payments if this is your preferred payment option.

Your CAR subscription will start with the March 2016 issue, on sale from 18 February 2016.

In order to access the CAR digital magazine, you will need to:

  • a) Download it from the App Store
  • b) Create a new account in the app
  • c) Do it before the first issue is released on the 18 February 2016

You can do this either by clicking here or following the steps below:

  • a) Tap ‘Sign In’ (iPad users) or the three-line ‘navicon’  icon (Android users) in the top left of the screen
  • b) A menu appears: tap ‘Create an account’ to reveal a form
  • c) Input your surname, your unique customer number and your email in the relevant fields (your customer number will be on the letter you have been sent regarding the suspension of FHM or Zoo magazine)
  • d) Confirm your email address
  • e) Add a password
  • f) It must be 8 characters minimum, with upper and lower case letters and at least one number
  • g) Confirm your password and add a hint to help you remember it in the future
  • h) Tap the ‘CREATE’ bar and exit the app

You will then receive an email confirming your account has been set up. You’ll be able to go straight back into the app and log in/sign in using your email and password in the menu.
