► Details on 2021 Seat Ibiza update
► Driver assistance and infotainment upgrades
► In production from autumn 2021
Spot the difference! Seat has updated the Ibiza supermini, bringing in a couple of choice technology upgrades, a revised engine range and a fresh look with some new colours.
Oh, and glowing air vents. There’s ambient lighting inside, with the colour dependent on which trim you pick: ‘honey’ for SE, red for FR and burgundy for Xcellence. But there’s more to it than that.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feature on the updated infotainment system, and a natural voice assistant wakes up if you say – shudder – ‘hola, hola’. VW’s Travel Assist (bundling together adaptive cruise, lane keep and traffic sign recognition) has been ported over to Seat’s supermini as an option.
Your engine options are a 79bhp naturally-aspirated three-cylinder mated to a five-speed manual, or a turbocharged ‘EcoTSI’ version making 94bhp or 108bhp. The turbo’d engines can be had with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch.
Seat says the updated Ibiza will go into production in the autumn of 2021.
