Regular £264k Rolls-Royce Dawn a little too covert for you? Fear not; if your’re in danger of blending into the background clutter in Knightsbridge, then the new options showcased in the ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ could be just the solution.
This new Dawn serves as part of an ongoing demonstration of Rolls-Royce’s personalisation services. A host of designers have picked trending textiles, accessories and design cues, and rolled them in to one bespoke model – the aim being to highlight new options offered in the company’s ‘Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collection’.
So, what’s special about this particular Dawn?
This customised Dawn features white paint, a white and blank interior, seamless interior stitching and silk door pocket trims, as well as myriad minor new details.
Other upgrades include a bespoke clock and a unique silk-like dash finish.
It’s quite… distinctive.
‘Our clients are the very arbiters of fashion, tastemakers who sit in the front row of the Couture shows, themselves influencing evolving trends,’ says Giles Taylor, Director of Design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
‘To them, the commissioning of fine luxury objects represents a deeply-involving curatorial process – with different forms of luxury design, craft and execution serving as inspiration for the other. The Dawn Inspired by Fashion beautifully expresses the notion that inspiration for truly personal objects is drawn from the passions, tastes and lifestyle of its patron.’
I swear I’ve seen this before…
Fear not, you’re not imagining things. Back in 2015, Rolls-Royce unveiled a similar ‘Wraith – Inspired by Fashion’. It was also finished in white and featured a host of bespoke details. So, this is already so last year, darling.
When are these new options available?
Customers will be able to order a Dawn featuring options from the new palette and trim range in November.
