► Flagship ‘Signature S Nav’ Kadjar revealed
► Benefits from leather trim and more kit
► Least expensive version costs £23,695
Changes ahoy for the Renault Kadjar crossover: a new range-topping trim called the Signature S Nav has been introduced, while a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is now available with TCe 130-engined Kadjars.
The new flagship trim, based on the current top-level Signature Nav model, adds a host of upgrades to the competent crossover. It includes a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors and hands-free parking, as well as black leather trim and heated front seats.
You’ll pay £23,695 for a Signature S Nav TCe 130 with a six-speed manual gearbox. That means the new top-level trim commands a premium of £1400 over the lesser Signature Nav trim. Renault, however, claims that the new trim level adds £1750 worth of kit, meaning you’re getting a fairly decent bank for your buck.
What else do I get for my money?
Because the Signature S Nav is based – as we’re sure you could probably work out – on the Signature Nav model, it already comes with a wide range of equipment.
Standard features, outside of those mentioned above, include a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate, sat-nav, a Bose sound system and heated folding mirrors.
Anything else I need to know?
You can now get the TCe 130 petrol engine in conjunction with Renault’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It’s reputedly fractionally more economical, but results in slightly higher CO2 outputs, than the manual version – but not to the extent that it’ll make a difference in the real world.
The dual-clutch automatic does cost £1200 more than the manual version, though – so a Signature S Nav TCe 130 EDC will set you back £25,025.
