► Land Rover Discovery Commercial
► It’s the versatile new 2018 Disco van
► 3.5-tonne towing, 1856 litres of room
Land Rover Discovery not quite versatile enough for you? Then check out the new 2018 Discovery Commercial, the country-set’s go-to van option which adds further load-lugging creds to the Disco’s all-wheel drive mud-plugging, family-carrying repertoire.
The new 2018 Discovery Commertical is basically a single-cab commercial vehicle with no second or third row of seats. The result? A properly linedvan loadbay with a fulsome 1856 litres of cargo room in the boot and blacked-out panels where the rear windows would normally go.

Land Rover Discovery Commercial van: loadbay dimensions
The all-important size of the hold in the Disco van is as follows:
- Length 1635mm
- Width 1411mm
- Height 939mm
- Litres 1856
Land Rover says the Discovery Commercial can accept a box up to 1000mm x 735mm. That’s not quite a Europallet (the stock unit of measurement for van drivers), but pretty big nonetheless. As for towing capacity? The new Land Rover Discovery Commercial van can tow up 3.5 tonnes, enough to give it proper grunt for many light industrial users.
Engines available include the regular Discovery units, led by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol Ingenium (badged SD4) and the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel (TD6). All models are four-wheel drive and come with the twin-speed transfer box, so it should be perfect if your business regularly needs to deliver goods in rural locations or in inclement weather.
When can I buy the new Discovery Commercial van?
