The new Aston Martin Vantage is one of the most distinctive cars on the road today – and to my eyes at least, it’s one of the best-looking. But thanks to that aggressive front-end, Gaydon’s V8 sportscar is one of the most divisive too – though a new kit from Revenant Automotive changes all that.
The official Aston Martin Vantage
Supporters of the new Vantage call it a much-needed design shake-up, a shark-like nod to the brand’s signature style. Those less enamoured compare the baby Aston to a catfish, a notorious bottom-feeder – very off-brand for Gaydon. This kit is for the latter group.
Designed for all modern Vantages, the front-bumper kit rolls back the design a few decades and puts a traditional Aston grille front and centre.
Revenant says the kit is aimed at ‘revising the frontal area and creating a more elegant look, the new bumper design,’ to create ‘a cleaner, more proportionate frontage.’ And makes it more like all other Astons.
Each nosecone will be made in the UK, and handcrafted from a variety of materials chosen by the buyer – including an exposed carbonfibre weave.
It’s important to note that the Vantage only recently got a facelift that adds an optional, more traditional-looking grille mesh. Would you prefer that to this? Let us know in the comments.
