Are you an owner of an Aston Martin Vantage with a 4.3-litre V8? Slightly perturbed that the newer, faster, yet visually identical 4.7-litre V8 Vantage is overshadowing your car? Then worry no more because Aston has the answer for you.
You mean there’s finally a twin-turbo power upgrade for my Aston Martin V8 Vantage?
Not quite. Aston is offering a more sedate power enhancement, adding 20bhp and 7lb ft to the 4.3-litre V8, enough to bring the car closer to the 4.7, but not too much to embarrass owners of the new car. The extra oomph, achieved through a revised induction system and ECU tweaks, gives a nice round 400bhp and 310lb ft so it’s on par with the old N400. It’s yours for £1600 plus fitment.
And N400 owners watch out! Buyers of the 4.3 V8 can also now retrospectively fit the Sport Pack that helped form the special edition, and that half of 4.7 customers now spec. It costs £3300, plus fitment and gives you uprated springs, Bilstein dampers and lightweight forged five-spoke aluminium wheels said to cut unsprung mass.
Both the Sport Pack and the power tweaks are available now from Aston dealers worldwide, and can be fitted to either the coupe or roadster.
