A founding editor of CAR magazine – one of the rare breed of 60s and 70s journalists who forged the modern automotive magazine scene.

Doug Blain did more to shape early CAR magazine than anyone else. And that deserves respect. Where formality and respect was a part of the UK motoring magazine scene in the early 1960s, Doug brought a more irreverent and independent spirit.
